She Loves Me is a musical with a book by Joe Masteroff, music by Jerry Bock, and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick. The musical is the third adaptation of the 1937 play Parfumerie by Hungarian playwright Miklós László, following the 1940 film The Shop Around the Corner and the 1949 musical version In the Good Old Summertime.

"Director Scott Susong keeps things moving at a breezy, happy pace. Susong really "gets it" when it comes to the cohesive vision of a show, and I, for one, am going to miss his talents terribly, as "She Loves Me" is likely his Bloomington swan song. He has retired from IWU and relocated to Wisconsin. I wish him the best (and secretly hope he comes back to B-N for some "guest director" gigs in the future)."

"The first rule of writing is "write what you know." Something tells me a slightly nebbish Hungarian playwright named Miklos "Miki" Lazlo knew a little something about fear - the fear that true love might forever elude him."
